Inspection Services

As a part of this team in Public Works, you will have the opportunity to perform water and sewer inspection services to ensure that residential, commercial and industrial customers are in compliance with public health and environmental safety standards.

Sanitary Sewer Services

By jumping on board with this crew, get ready to dive into the exciting world of three sewage treatment plants, also known as "reclamation facilities." Help process wastewater for around 25,000 clients and over 100,000 contractual customers throughout Lake County.

Water Distribution Systems

The Lake County Public Works Department owns and operates 12 public water supply distribution systems. Employees who maintain these water systems are certified under the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Drinking Water Operator Certification Program. Water quality is monitored and samples are tested in accordance with strict United States Environment Protection Agency (USEPA) technical review criteria. Interested in joining this exceptional team?
